Reviewing Prospects Suggested For You

Impala for Fundraisers curates lists of prospects suggested for your organization based on the information you set in your Prospecting Criteria, your existing funders, and your team members.

Each list contains funders suggested for your organization based on a Match Score.

Types of suggestion lists:

Funders of My Ecosystem - Available to all users

This list provides funders that have historically supported organizations working on the same issues or in the same regions as you. Your “ecosystem” for this list is defined by the geographies and causes you select in your Prospecting Criteria.

Funders of My Peers - Premium and Enterprise access only

This list provides funders that have historically supported organizations similar to yours. Those “peer” organizations are the ones you select in your Prospecting Criteria.

Funders connected to My Staff & Board* - Premium and Enterprise access only

Funders in this list are chosen because they’re already connected to your organization through your board members or staff. Impala sources these people from those listed in the People tab of your profile. To update your People tab see here.

*This list is only available for users that are connected to an organization's profile.

Funders connected to My Funders* - Premium and Enterprise access only

Funders in this list are chosen because they’re already connected to your organization through your existing funders. Impala finds your existing funders based on matched grants data from their 990s (i.e. they have listed your organization as a grantee in one of their filings).

*This list is only available for users that are connected to an organization's profile.

Reviewing your suggestions

Step 1

From the homepage, click into one of your suggestion lists. For this example, we'll be clicking into Funders of My Ecosystem.

If you havent previously identified your Prospecting Criteria, you can do this by clicking on the Let’s Get Started button in the center of your homepage, or on the Set your Prospecting Criteria (7)

Step 2

For Premium and Enterprise users: Your suggestion lists will each contain up to 20 suggested funders at a time. As you move funders from your list, additional funders will automatically populate upon refresh.

For Free users: Your suggestion list will show your first 5 suggested prospects. 1 additional prospect will be unlocked each week, up to a maximum of 10 visible at a time.

Funders are suggested based on their Match Score, seen in the upper right corner of each result.

The Match Score is based on how well a funder fits your organization across the 3 key categories of Alignment, Capacity, and Relationships. The badges under each of those 3 sections indicates a positive match in that specific area.

You can click into a funder to see more detailed information for each badge.

You should select Add to list for funders that you want to add to your prospect list. They will no longer appear on the main suggestion list, but can be found on the Selected tab in case you ever want to review your previous selections. The funder will also be added to your prospect list.

You can see your prospect list by clicking the → Go to list button in the upper right of the page.
