Uploading a Form 990

How to add your Form 990s and update your data

The best way to keep your profile up to date is to add your recent Form 990s directly to Impala. Impala will then do the work for you to update any general information, as well as the data on your profile. The more recent the data, the better view potential funders will have of the current state of your organization.

Step 1

From your organization's profile, click the Edit button in the upper right corner to open the Edit Profile tab. Navigate to the 990s section.

If you're just setting up your profile, you can also add a 990 from the Profile Visibility section.

Step 2

Upload any missing Form 990s in .pdf format. Once uploaded, the forms should be processed and reflected on your profile within about 72 hours.

If your fiscal year does not match the calendar year, please upload your 990 to the year that matches the year in the top right corner of your 990. This is the calendar year that your 990 starts in.

When the form has been uploaded and all the information is added into the system, the year will show with a green check.

If the form is uploaded but still processing, it will show in white and say "(non-scraped)".

If the year is showing a red exclamation, it means the data was not able to be scraped from your Form 990, possibly due to image quality issues. You can try uploading the form again, or email the file directly to support@impala.digital for assistance.
