Email Credit and Export Record FAQs

Not sure of your credit limits or how to get more? Find answers to all your spendable credit questions below.

As a part of a premium subscription, you may receive email credits or export records. You can use email credits to act on your highest priority connections and view the contact details of the person or organization you want to connect with. Your export records can be used to download large charts of data to a .csv file.

Email Credits

What is an email credit?

An email credit is a kind of virtual token that you can spend to access a person's email address on Impala. You automatically receive them with a Funder Prospecting or legacy Impala for Fundraisers subscription.

How do I use an email credit?

If a user has contact information available on Impala, they'll have an envelope icon on their name card. Click the icon to access that person's email address. Doing this will spend one of your email credits.

How many email credits do I get?

Most users receive 120 credits per user per year on an annual plan. This may vary based on your specific number of seats or contract, so be sure to review your signed order form for information.

How do I check how many credits I have?

You can view all available email credits from your Account Settings under Products and Billing. The system will also show you how many records are remaining whenever you click to spend a credit.

Do my credits expire?

No, they don't! Your email credits renew each year and carry over.

So if you get 120 email credits but only use 100 during your annual subscription, your account will have 140 email credits after renewal.

I'm out of email credits, can I buy more?

Absolutely. You can purchase additional email credits at any time and just like those you receive with your regular subscription, they do not expire. See below for standard pricing.

Can I get email credits without a premium subscription?

No, email credits are exclusively available through a premium application subscription.

What happens to my email credits if I cancel my subscription?

If you cancel your subscription, you can use your email credits until the last day that you have premium access. After your subscription ends, you'll no longer have access to email credits.


Export Records

What is an export record?

An export record is a kind of virtual token that you can spend to download data from Impala. Most of our premium Solutions include access to some level of export records. 1 export record equals 1 line of data within an exportable chart. 

How do I export records?

Records can be used to download data from any chart you see on Impala within profiles and ecosystems. This includes grants tables, organization lists, and even board listings. 

To export a section of data, click the "Export to .CSV" button on the page of the data you want to export. The system will notify you of the cost of the export and the recipient email for the export. The export will send as an email to the noted recipient email and includes a link to download your file.

How many  export records do I get?

Most subscriptions include 10,000 export records on an annual plan. This may vary based on your specific number of seats or product selections, so be sure to review your signed order form for information.

How do I check how many records I have?

You can view all available records from your Account Settings under Products and Billing. Additionally, when you select a group of data to download, the system pop up should notify you of how many records you have remaining before and after your export.

Do my records expire?

I'm out of export records, can I buy more?

Absolutely. You can purchase additional export records at any time and just like those you receive with your regular subscription, they do not expire. Records start at a minimum of 1,000 records for $200. Price per record scales down with higher volumes purchased.

Is there a limit to the size of an export?

Our self-serve exports are available for batches of data up to 10,000 records. Above that size, a custom data export may be needed. For more information, email us at sales@impala.digital
