  • Project We Can Talk About It

    Since 1994, our multidisciplinary team has provided outpatient therapy for children and adolescents who have witnessed domestic violence as well as their non-offending parent. We also offer family therapy, group therapy, and work closely with local domestic violence programs, community partners, and legal services to offer comprehensive supports for families to maximize safety and build connections. Victims of Crime Act (VOCA)/free services are available for Latina immigrant survivors of intimate partner violence and their children. Outpatient therapy is available in both English and Spanish.

  • Three Legged Stool

    The Three-Legged Stool program was designed in 2010 to provide foster and pre-adoptive parents of severely traumatized children with wrap-around services to support stability and permanency and to prevent disruptions in placements. Each leg of the stool represents a piece of the therapeutic partnership that is created between Children’s Charter, foster parents, and the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) to create a nurturing environment for foster children who can often display significant behavioral challenges in their foster families.

  • VOCA Bilingual Services

    This program serves women (or non-offending men), children, and adolescents who have been exposed to domestic violence and/or physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. The emphasis is on serving the growing Spanish-speaking immigrant community, documented and undocumented, in the Waltham and Greater Boston areas, many of whom have been subject to trauma in their countries of origin as well as during their process of entering this country prior to experiencing additional traumas in Massachusetts
