Hummingbird Research and Community Education
RESEARCH AND CONSERVATION: Fieldwork by Dr. Sergio Diaz-Infante and Dra. Elsa Figueroa continued the research by studying hummingbird/plant interactions and investigating conservation needs for a threatened hummingbird species in Nayarit. We began work at a high-elevation study site to understand how hummingbirds and their nectar plants vary across an elevational gradient. We continued working with the El Cuarenteño community with STEAM activities for primary - high school students and collecting seeds for future restoration efforts.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesFeb 1, 2023 – Jan 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$15KHummingbird Monitoring and Community Training
