Sustainable Transportation Management
Cross County Connection is the designated Transportation Management Association (TMA) for the seven-county Southern New Jersey region: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem. Cross County Connection assists local governments, schools, businesses, social service organizations, residents, and employees with mobility needs by fostering the implementation and use of sustainable transportation modes to create an equitable, safe, and environmentally sustainable transportation network. Cross County Connection TMA, a non-profit organization, was formally incorporated in 1989 to address the mobility needs of those without a private vehicle, reduce traffic congestion, and improve air quality. Cross County Connection assists with commute alternatives such as public transit, shuttle services, carpooling, vanpooling, bicycling, and walking. Additional services include public transit travel training, bicycling and walking safety education programs for schools, assistance with electric vehicle charging infrastructure, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure planning, and more. Commuting challenges are not just an inconvenience-they dramatically affect our quality of life, our independence, our ability to get to work, school, and medical appointments, conduct business, and more. Recent world events illustrate the importance of mobility-whether it means getting essential goods to distribution points, or employees and residents to essential services. Mobility is a driving force for the economy, and accessibility to transportation options for all must exist for the region to prosper.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1.1M
