Veteran Support Services
Welcome Home Vets Fund of New Jersey ,Inc. {"WHV") is a public charity created for the benefit of Veterans of the U.S. Military and their families. WHV depends on donations for its mission. Every dollar raised goes toward WHV's mission. Each and every one of our Board of Trustees, members, and officers serves WHV as a volunteer, without compensation of any kind. WHV's members donate their time organizing fundraisers for WHV, calling upon friends, colleagues and family to contribute to our cause, and constantly networking to identify Veterans in need and finding solutions for them. The main program utilized by WHV to help Veterans is case work, which consists of meeting with Veterans to understand and assess their needs. This work is essential, substantial, and often complicated. Upon understanding and assessing the Veteran's needs, WHV offers whatever appropriate assistance it can provide which can include: (i) financial aid, {ii) providing the Veteran with information about benefits to which the Veteran might be entitled and assisting with applications relating thereto, or {iii) directing the Veteran to others within WHV or outside of WHV who can help with whatever problems need solving including lawyers and other charities. The "expenses" of WHV consist primarily and predominantly of financial aid on behalf of a Veteran or his/her family, followed by a smaller portion of aid to the other charities which serve as an invaluable resource to WHV's mission. From time to time, WHV conducts its own fundraising events with the resources donated by its volunteers, to minimize vendor expenses as much as possible. WHV does not use professional fundraisers or marketers. More often, however, other charities and organizations raise funds for WHV, enabling WHV to spend its time on case work rather than fundraising.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2023 – Dec 31, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$48.9KProgram 1 [2024]
