Amigo International Friendship Program
Amigo International Friendship Program: Our Friendship program matches an international student or scholar with a local volunteer in the community for friendship and sharing of cultures. Volunteers are screened, oriented and trained for their role. Students are interviewed as well. We offer short-term and year-long opportunities. In 2024, 120 students/scholars were matched with one of 65 volunteers.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$53.8KWelcome Reception for International Students

Guests enjoyed live music, icebreaker activities, a photo booth, international line dancing, and learned about AMIS programs and events, and received several door prizes. Participants enjoyed a catered reception. It was a wonderful day to celebrate international students from around the world studying at Georgia Tech, Emory, Georgia State, Oglethorpe, Spelman, Agnes Scott and other metro colleges/universities.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$32.1KEvents for International Students
