  • Adult and Youth English Language Programs

    Adults: From September 1, 2022 - August 31, 2023, we served 16 adults who attended a total of 857 hours. Four of these were adult women from Vietnam studying English in preparation for university programs in the U.S. One woman from Japan was preparing for a program in Rome, and one from India came to review her English for ministry here in Minnesota. Twenty three adults were local residents learning English as a second language or preparing for university studies.Youth: From September 1, 2022 - August 31, 2023, the Center served 49 K 12 students who attended a total of 1103 hours. Elementary students received instruction in reading, writing, and math. High school students came for math or writing/composition.

    ADULTS: FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 2024 - AUGUST 31, 2025, WE SERVED 37 ADULTS WHO ATTENDED A TOTAL OF 823.5 HOURS. 97% OF THESE ADULTS WERE LOCAL RESIDENTS LEARNING ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE; THE OTHER 3% SOUGHT INSTRUCTION IN DIGITAL LITERACY. YOUTH: FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 2024 - AUGUST 31, 2025, THE CENTER SERVED 55 PRESCHOOL AND K-12 STUDENTS WHO ATTENDED A TOTAL OF 1,231 HOURS. SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN RECEIVED INSTRUCTION IN BASIC LITERACY AND NUMERACY, INCLUDING ORAL READING FLUENCY AND MATH FACT FLUENCY.
