  • Gabi's P.A.L.S.

    Gabi's P.A.L.S.(Packaging, Assembly, Labeling, Shipping) Purpose: to provide work opportunities for employees by seeking projects from companies in either the Loading Dock warehouse or other warehouses throughout the community Goal: to employ individuals with special abilities in meaningful, fulfilling work, and to build camaraderie via the team environment. Accomplishments: employed a significant number of individuals who collectively worked over 15,000 total hours during the year How it Meets the Mission: Employees gained valuable work experience while earning wages and creating lasting friendships with co-workers. The core mission is to bring awareness to underemployment of individuals in the IDD community. This program directly employs these individuals.

  • Gabi's Grounds Initiative

    Gabi's Grounds Purpose: to raise awareness of the IDD community and the struggles that they face by selling private label coffee and other merchandise Goal: to promote product sales through online platform; local 'pop-upsX; and co-working warehouse Accomplishments: Gabi's Grounds achieved $65,000 in product revenue and participated in twenty-two 'pop-ups'. Individuals and businesses met during 'pop-ups' have provided additional work projects for P.A.L.S. How it Meets the Mission: Every order includes a not from Gabi explaining the mission of Gabi's Grounds. 'Pop-ups' allow for direct connection to the general public giving employees and volunteers of Gabi's Grounds the opportunity to share information about the IDD community and the mission of Gabi's Grounds
