  • Literary Burlesque Theatre Productions

    Noveltease Theatre's mission is to create community through storytelling by reviving the historical artform of literary burlesque. We stage unique adaptations of classic works of theatre and literature in order to reclaim and rework the canon in a manner that enlivens and transforms classic works for contemporary audiences. We produce 2 mainstage productions annually. In 2024 we produced two new original adaptations of literary theatre: Sleeping Beauty and the Bear Prince, adapted from a collection of European and American fairy tales, and an adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet that utilized dance as a key element of storytelling.

  • Community Peer Review Events

    We hosted free community peer review events, where artists present works in progress and receive professional feedback from experts in our artistic fields, paired with skill building workshops to help artists hone their craft.
