Analyze My Peers

This article is for a feature that is only available to users with premium access to Funder Prospecting, or fundraising users with premium access to Ecosystems Research.

Your list of peer organizations is based on the peers you selected in your Prospecting Criteria and is a main source for your funder suggestions.

Impala also uses this peer list to generate a Nonprofit Based Ecosystem to provide in-depth data and insights on your peers. If you want to learn more about your peers and how you compare, you can access this added information from your homepage.

You can adjust your peer selections by editing your Prospecting Criteria (instructions here) or by heading to the Analyze my peers tile on the homepage and selecting Edit peers.

1) Funder List

From here, you can view the full list of foundations that have supported your peers with key data points for comparison.

For example, you can see who has given the most to your peers, who has supported the highest number of your peers, and more.

2) Grants Given

On the list you can see details like the funder that gave the grant, the nonprofit that received it, the description, year, and size.

You can also use the charts at the top of the page as filters on the listing below, or type in the search bar to find grant descriptions and org names that include your search term.

Nonprofit List

This will list out all the peer nonprofits that you selected, with key financial data about each, available at a glance.

If you’re connected to a 501(c)3 profile on Impala, you'll also be able to see where your organization falls in the list and how you compare to your peers across various metrics.
