Explore My Ecosystem

This article is for users with premium access to Funder Prospecting, or fundraising users with premium Ecosystems Research access.

This ecosystem on your homepage is a Landscape Markers Ecosystem based on the geographies and cause areas identified in your Prospecting Criteria. You can think of it as a consolidated view of your specific nonprofit sector: see the other nonprofits in your area, who’s funding them, and more. Importantly, it’s also a main source for your funder suggestions list.

If you want to learn more about your Ecosystem, you can access the Ecosystem data right from your homepage. You can do this on the Impala For Fundraisers homepage by selecting the See My Ecosystem tile in the Research a sector box.

Here, you can see all the institutional funders supporting your ecosystem, with specific data points and insights into their giving to help compare them.

2) Grants Given

This is a consolidated listing of all grants given in your ecosystem, with details like the funder that gave the grant, the nonprofit that received it, the description, year, and size.

You can also use the charts at the top of the page as filters on the listing below.

3) Nonprofit List

This will list out all the nonprofits within your ecosystem, with key financial data available at a glance. If you’re linked with a 501(c)3 profile on Impala, you'll be able to see where your organization falls in the list and how you compare to nonprofits in your ecosystem.*

* Note - if your organization is not populating in this section, you might need to update your Prospecting Criteria to better align with your organization (instructions here) or edit the cause areas on your own profile to ensure they're correctly representing your organization's focus (instructions here).
