The Virginia Thurston Healing Garden (The Healing Garden) is the premier provider of integrative oncology care in Massachusetts. The Healing Garden’s mission is to provide a healing community of support where integrative therapies, educational programs, and therapeutic services complement medical care to improve the quality of life and well-being for all those affected by cancer, regardless of gender, diagnosis, prognosis, or financial limitations. The Healing Garden is dedicated to improving cancer survivorship and provides clients with access to life-enhancing, critical cancer support for patients, their caregivers, and their families. Nestled in 8-acres of serene woodlands and gardens, unparalleled serenity and contemplative practice is made easy at the cancer support center. In stark contrast to medical institutions, the facility and grounds offer the optimal setting for clients to engage in restorative, rehabilitative care - ranging from classes, to support groups and individual counseling, to expressive art therapy and bodywork that includes Reiki, Shiatsu, oncology massage, and acupuncture. Since the onset of COVID, services are offered online, and will eventually be delivered in a hybrid fashion, dramatically increasing ease of access.
