The activities of the Society are directed toward educating the general public and school age children of the historic significance of the built environment which surrounds them and is part of their community. Such environment includes infrastructure that makes up all communities transportation structures and facilities parks and recreation areas museums schools churches and government operating facilities. The goal is to educate the public and school age children of what structures of the built environment why they were built and how they are historically significant
