THE PURPOSE OF THE SOCIETY IS TO INSTITUTE AND ENCOURAGE HISTORICAL INQUIRY, TO COLLECT, PRESERVE AND EXHIBIT THE MATERIALS OF HISTORY AND TO SPREAD HISTORICAL INFORMATION, ESPECIALLY CONCERNING THE CITY OF DALLAS, TEXAS; THE COUNTY OF DALLAS, TEXAS; AND THE STATE OF TEXAS.
