Let's Row Program
Our Let’s Row Program brings indoor rowing machines to over 40 public schools. The program uses a curriculum based on Boston Public School P.E. standards that incorporate games, competition, and peer support in each lesson plan. Each school in Let's Row is invited to participate in the Let’s Row Championships, the largest annual youth indoor regatta in the country. After participating in Let’s Row, any BPS student is invited to row at any CRI youth program, gaining access to direct transportation between Ruggles Station and CRI’s boathouse, one‑on‑one tutoring, healthy snacks, and financial aid. As a final piece of this programming, the Let’s Row Fellowship is an innovative opportunity for current P.E. teachers and teaching professionals to learn how to coach rowing on the Charles River while earning summer income and coach certification in four short weeks. It uses the context of teaching indoor rowing to middle school students to inspire introductions to rowing on the river for young people.GeographiesCambridge, MA, USA;Boston, MA, USA;Boston Metropolitan Area, USADatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedPhysical fitness,Community recreation,Adaptive sports,Sports training,Water sports,Winter sportsAdolescents,Preteens,Ethnic and racial groups,Gender and sexual identity,People with disabilities,Economically disadvantaged people4K$0Para Rowing Program
