  • Youth Jobs & Leadership Program
    Each summer, Save the Harbor hires a diverse staff of 40 local high school, college, and graduate aged youth and young adults to execute our Boston Harbor Explorers summer program. Boston Harbor Explorers is an experiential learning program to engage youth at 10 daily community based sites in exploring their local marine environment, encouraging them to engage in healthy outdoor activities, and administering our suite of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) and Humanities focused curriculum units.

  • Better Beaches Grant Program
    Since 2008, Save the Harbor/Save the Bay has partnered with the Department of Conservation and Recreation to award small grants to local organizations and artists who activate the region’s public beaches through free public events and programs on public beaches in Nahant, Lynn, Revere, Winthrop, East Boston, South Boston, Dorchester, Quincy, and Hull.
