The organization provided 27,078 days of residential assisted living services to the elderly from all economic, religious and ethnic backgrounds. Youville House follows the methodology that is recommended by the Catholic Health Association for calculating the cost of support for the broader community. In the methodology, the cost of providing services is reduced by payments received for services resulting in a net cost. It is the net cost of programs directed to the needy compared to the actual reimbursement for those services. Youville House had a total community benefit of $605,247, of which $580,838 were rents subsidized by the Organization. These figures are 9.33% and 8.96% of operating expenses for the year of this return, respectively.
