  • Community Outreach Initiatives

    Community Outreach: Funds were used to create a documentary about GOSA's history, send members to conferences to provide education in order to strengthen members' skill sets to align with our mission. GOSA also hosted a scavenger hunt for kids on our property. Flyers were printed to inform members of our community about our properties, the benefits of being outdoors, and monthly community hikes hosted by GOSA. Equipment was purchased to support our efforts to share that information at public events.

  • Bridge Stewardship Program

    Stewardship: Funds were used for lumber, screws, bolts, treads, and a cart to carry them to the sites where ramps and other improvements were made to 3 bridges. A battery powered hedge trimmer was purchased for clearing vegetation along trails.

  • Educational Field Trip Program

    Field Trip Bussing: Funding was provided to bus Groton Public School children to GOSA properties for hiking field trips. The program allowed students to experience the outdoors and gain an appreciation of nature.
