Keep Rockland Beautiful (KRB) leads efforts to clean, protect, and beautify Rocklands environment by educating and empowering people to share in the care and stewardship of our communities. KRB is a highly respected organization that has been providing hands-on environmental education and engaging volunteers throughout Rockland for 26 years. KRB grew out of a County Beautification Commission. It was established as a 501c3 and an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful in 1997. KRB has since evolved into a leading provider of powerful programming to protect the environment and care for community health and wellness. KRBs spring Great American Cleanup and Fall Cleanup campaigns make a visible and valuable difference in communities across the county. In addition to removing tons of harmful debris, they foster life-long stewardship and build community care and engagement. KRBs Environmental Education Programs for Youth engage thousands of students each year in hands-on learning that empowers them to build a sustainable future. Our Earth BEAT program engages students K-8 in interactive Eco-Stations, and Rockland PLUS is a collaborative partnership with Columbia University Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Rockland Conservation and Service Corps, and the Rockland County Soil & Water Conservation District, which engages high school students in sustainable land use planning. KRBs success can be seen in the measurable, and immeasurable, impact made across the county, and in the formal recognition that KRB receives for its work. It is also reflected in its collaborative partnerships in every sector of our society.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2023 – Dec 31, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$146.5K
