THE DETAILED PLAN FOR RESTORING THIS AREA HAS SEVERAL COMPLETED CATALYTIC PROJECTS INCLUDING ROXIAN THEATRE, FATHER RYAN ARTS CENTER, AND SEVERAL FACADE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS. WORK ON REDEVELOPMENT OF A VACANT, HISTORIC 'ANCHOR' BUILDING; NEW AFFORDABLE HOUSING APARTMENT BUILDING OVER RETAIL; AND STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS ARE IN CONTRACTING PHASES. A HUD PLANNING GRANT FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY PROPERTY HAYS MANOR IS BEING LEVERAGED FOR IMPROVEMENTS THROUGHOUT THE DOWNTOWN AREA. WORKING WITH GROW STO-ROX ON ANTI-VIOLENCE MEASURES THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY.
