GeekFest West Programming
The long-term goal of Courtyard Media Foundation is to establish the organization as a regional leader in creative empowerment-amplifying community narratives, supporting emerging creators, and delivering flagship experiences like GeekFest West that evolve into nationally visible, hybrid-access platforms for connection, education, and cultural celebration. In 2024, this was done with over 128 days of active programming, including multi-day immersive experiences at GeekFest West, hybrid-access events including meetings and Podcasts, and ongoing mentorship sessions. In 2024, the following sessions and activities were held: 18 panels, workshops, and game sessions, 15 media literacy workshops Zoom meetings, 65 vendor-themed booth installations, 52 podcast episodes produced, 5 community roundtables and listening sessions, and 4 community mixers and networking events.
