  • Music From Japan Concert Series

    In 2022 Music From Japan presented two concerts on March 5 and 6. The one featured works of Yasutaki Inamori, Akiko Ushijima and Hirofumi Mogi, and the other works by late Tomojiro Ikenouchi and his disciples. 3 composers were invited from Japan. 18 US based musicians were engaged including Mr. Ikenouchi's granddaughter cello soloist Kristina Reiko Cooper.

  • Post-Concert Q&A and Composition Seminar

    On March 5 and 6, a post-concert Q&A with commissioned composers from Japan, and solo performers from the US were presented. On March 2, Ms. Ushijima and Mr. Inamori gave a composition seminar for Columbia University's music students.

  • Japanese Music Resource Center Maintenance

    Music From Japan's Resource Center for Japanese Music provides information on Japanese music and culture in English on its website and through its library of scores, recordings and books. The Center needs regular maintenance as new materials are added and old systems are updated.
