Performance and Archive Initiatives
During the 2023-2024 programming year, the Pick Up Performance Co. (PUPC) had 1 production, 1 new work in development, and an artist's archive initiative. The Board and Staff continued executing a multi-year organizational plan following the loss of founder David Gordon. PUPC remains under the artistic leadership of Ain Gordon, who has been the Co-Artistic Director since 1992.The PUPC production of Ain Gordon's work "Relics and Their Humans" was presented at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts in Champaign, IL Oct. 2023, the Wexner Center for the Arts Feb 2024 in Columbus, OH and La MaMa ETC in New York, NY June 2024.Ain Gordon's new work "Condolences" (working title) received 3 years of development funding from Creative Capital and a commission from New York Live Arts.PUPC launched an archive initiative for 11 artists with an exhibition at the Brooklyn Academy of Music from February 4 to June 30, 2024.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2023 – Jun 30, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$239.8K
