Workforce Opportunities (WfO)
Jericho Project’s Workforce Opportunities (WfO) program equips homeless and at-risk New Yorkers with the skills, training, and support they need to secure meaningful employment. By integrating career development into Jericho’s housing and supportive services, WfO helps participants overcome barriers such as stigma, interrupted work histories, and lack of access to training. WfO also encompasses two specialized initiatives that expand access for key populations: Knowledge and Employment for Young Adults (KEYA): Provides housing, workforce development, and wraparound supports for 80 youth annually, ages 18–25. Many participants are aging out of foster care, navigating family rejection, or are young parents. KEYA places about 60 participants in new jobs each year, with nearly all achieving housing stability while enrolled. Jericho Veterans Employment Program (JVEP): Offers individualized coaching, job readiness workshops, and job placements for dozens of veterans annually. JVEP is fully integrated with Jericho’s Veterans Initiative and complements housing supports, resulting in a 95% housing retention rate across veteran programs.GeographiesNew York, NY, USA;The Bronx, NY, USA;Brooklyn, NY, USADatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedJob benefits,Job counseling,Job creation and workforce development,Job Preparation & Procurement,Job training,Homeless servicesHomeless people266–
