MCC Theater’s mission is to provoke conversations that have never happened and otherwise never would. We fulfill our mission across four program areas: annual productions of world, American, and New York premiere plays and musicals; development of new work by emerging and mid-career playwrights; deep and enriching public engagement programs; and intensive in-school and after-school education programs that give New York City public high school students the tools and inspiration to express their own unique voices and engage with their communities through the creation of theater.
