WEDC PROVIDES TRAINING, ADVISORY SERVICES, AND ACCESS TO CAPITAL FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS THROUGHOUT WESTCHESTER COUNTY AND THE LOWER AND MID-HUDSON VALLEY. WEDC GRADUATES HAVE AN 83% GRADUATION RATE FROM THEIR 60 HOUR TRAINING PROGRAMS WITH COMPLETED BUSINESS PLANS, 3,102 JOBS HAVE BEEN CREATED AND SUSTAINED IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS, 1,080 UNDUPLICATED CLIENTS HAVE BEEN SERVED, AND $1.65 MILLION IN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE HAS BEEN FACILITATED TO WEDC CLIENTS. AT THE ONSET OF THE PANDEMIC, WEDC RESPONDED QUICKLY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS BY CONDUCTING TRAINING PROGRAMS AND COUNSELING SESSIONS VIRTUALLY. THESE SERVICES INCLUDED A FOCUS ON HELPING CLIENTS ACCESS FUNDING FROM THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION FOR THE PAYCHECK PROTECTION AND ECONOMIC INDUSTRY DISASTER LOAN PROGRAMS. WEDC ALSO ASSISTED CLIENTS IN NEED OF RETHINKING THEIR BUSINESS MODELS. IN ADDITION, WEDC PROVIDED 27 MWBE ENTREPRENEURS WITH SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS, COVID RESPONSIVE ACCELERATOR PROGRAMMING, AND MENTORING.
