THE ARC MID-HUDSON FOUNDATION
Programs
Program 1 [2020]
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and many restrictions in place, The Arc Mid-Hudson Foundation held three out of the five of their anticipated annual events. Many of the 2020 sponsors of the events that did not occur had decided to donate their funds to COVID relief instead due to these postponements. This COVID relief fund helped to provide breakfast(s) & lunches to staff working in the residences along with other expenses to boost employee morale. The Wine & Dine event was held in February 2020 and was very successful. Approximately 80 attendees attended the event at The Chateau in Kingston, NY. Along with the live auction, there was money raised designated to the Arts Center Scholarship program. This scholarship program is set up to assist individuals who may not be able to afford a class at the Arts Center. The Foundation had to postpone events that were scheduled to occur in May & June 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In September 2020, the annual Fall Golf Tournament event took place at Wiltwyck in Kingston, NY. There were some adjustments that needed to be made to follow guidelines. All of the usual amenities were available to players, however there was no awards ceremony. Players were still able to enjoy a dinner served by the staff at staggered times. All of the holes on the golf course had a theme and all volunteers wore masks and gloves. The tournament was sold out with 30 teams in attendance. The final event of the year was the Holiday Auction that was held in November 2020. This is typically an in-person event at a local venue. The event in 2020 was held virtually on our website. People were able to place bids on items one week ahead through a live presentation on Facebook and our website. A silent auction, premium silent auction, wine pull, and raffle tickets were all available to the public on the website.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$79.6KCommunity Fundraising Events
