    Education: CHS offered 4 educational programs this FY covering local history with ~200 attendees. Recent programs included archeology, historic trades, a historic house tour and a celebration of the Town's unique position as the only NYS town to sign a Resolution to separate from Great Britain on June 24 1776.

  • Program 2 [2025]

    Preservation: CHS is currrently addressing the restoration of the Society's 1829 Meeting House. Having replaced the roof in 2021, we engaged a historic preservation architect and contractor to undertake a $110,000 structural stabilization program in 2024 which is nearing completion.
