  • Primary Medical Care Support

    Provision of medical supplies and equipment to the two Rural Health Units to enable them to provide primary medical care to the residents of Jagna. Three trips by Philos volunteers occurred during this period. A total of 18 doctors and other medical providers traveled from the US to provide care in collaboration with local providers. More than 1200 low income people received direct primary care during the past year by these volunteers. In addition, the Rural Health Units utilized supplies and equipment provided by Philos throughout the year to serve more than 20,000 people

  • Nutrition Program

    Nutrition Program, Philos Health supports a food supplement program to address the problem of malnutrition in Jagna. In a study Philos conducted, 30% of elementary school children were found to be moderately to severely malnourished. A hot nutritious meal is now served to 3100 school children, pregnant women and seniors
