  • Technology and Training for Chinese Churches

    The following are the major tasks accomplished by Da .L.A. Church Network & Know Wonder Media in 2022.1.Exploring and applying technologiesWe study the new technology of Virtuality (Metaverse) and explore its application to Christian church. We then provide a few of training seminars in this area to local Chinese pastors.2.Staff trainingRev. Chou and Rev. Wang provided academic and research advises to our staff Hanah Han in working on her Master thesis of The Study in Application of Metaverse to Chinese church.3.Video productionIn 2022,we worked on the production of two 3D animation video episodes, namely Celebration of Chinese New Year 2022 and Chinese-YMCA. The former one was released to public in early 2022 and the later one is to be released in the second half of 2023.4.Ministering to churchesa.We have kept on two on-going meetings in L.A. area. They are: 6AM in West Coast- an early morning prayer meetings during Monday through Friday and a weekly fellowship meeting on ZOOM for local Chinese ministers.b.Initiated and helped a merging of two local Chinese churches - Faith Community Church and Living Water Life Ministry.c.Pastor Robert Chou served as a teacher/speaker to one course at Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary, two courses at Harvest Bible University, to two mission conferences, and as a preacher to a few of Chinese churches at a regular basis on Sunday. d.Co-hosted events for visiting ministry from Singapore Chinese Alpha.5.Supporting mission related ministriesa.We hosted a series of special events for Korean missionary Rev. Wang to share his cross-culture training experience. b.As before, we gave financial support to a few Christian mission agencies.c.Rev. Chou spoke at The 14th Internet Mission Forum.
