    Co-sponsored the National Worker Coop Conference (virtually for this year) with the Democracy At Work Institute. Launched the Freelancer Coop Initiative Guilded which we are incubating. Held more than 50 webinars and online events for our members including technical assistance training, all of which are free / donation requested. These included online events to help our members respond to Covid-19 and apply for and navigate federal assistance programs such as EIDL and PPP. Worked closely with Small Business Development Centers to provide technical assistance to our members including subsidized assistance for members in rural areas. Continued to expand our worker benefits program offering insurance benefits to members. Provided fee for service and advocacy work to clients.

  • Worker Ownership Advocacy and Support

    Grew total membership by more than 30 members, and member contributions by more than 13 percent; Provided access to dental and vision benefits for over 600 people across 60 member organizations; Continued our training and technical assistance services and resources through our Coop Clinic and Consulting programs, as well as industry-specific peer networks and speakers, including two new peer networks; Hosted Worker Coop Conference in Philadelphia attended by 500 worker-owners and movement builders which included an unprecedented number of Spanish language tracks and over 50 monolingual Spanish speakers; Launched a second cohort of the Worker Ownership State AdvocacyFellowship with 14 worker owners building leadership skills around advocacy work in their sector or state; Educated and advised members, partners, and government off icials regarding worker ownership.
