  • Summer Music Camp for Underserved Youth

    20th Annual Summer Music Camp and Festival in Traverse City MI. July 13th-20th 2024.Approximately 50 students participated in the camp. 20 students were from Traverse City MI and 30 students were from underserved after-school music programs from around the country. Students were given the chance to work and perform with the Archipelago Project. Durning the camp students learned composing and arranging skills helping them create their own original arrangements and compositions which were premiered around the community. Over 300 children were exposed to orchestral instruments through the musical petting zoos durning Archipelagos concerts. Audiences totaling over 1,500 people were exposed to Archipelagos free concerts.

  • Archipelago Music Education Workshops

    Archipelago Collective Conservatory Workshops and Performances: Jan-Dec. 2024. Members of Archipelago visit various music education organizations that specialize in providing music education for underserved youth. Archipelago provides curriculum training for the programs teachers and staff and also performs creative workshops for students in these programs. Archipelago also provides administration consultation for these programs. A mix of these workshops were done in-person and virtually via zoom. In 2024 Archipelago provided consultation training performances and workshops for Soundscapes-Virginia King School-Connecitcut Harmony Program-New York Harmony Program-California Trenton Music Markers-New Jersey El Sistema USA Seminario-North Carolina Baltimore Symphony OrchKids-Maryland Johns-Hopkins Peabody Conservatory-Maryland Gilman School-Maryland Interlochen Music Academy-Michigan.
