CAREER AWARENESS:CEWD AND ITS MEMBERS ENGAGED IN A WIDE VARIETY OF CAREER AWARENESS ACTIVITIES IN 2020. CAREER AWARENESS ACTIVITIES ARE AIMED AT FIVE KEY DEMOGRAPHICS: YOUTH, LOW INCOME STUDENTS, WOMEN, VETERANS, AND TRANSITIONING WORKERS. STATES ACROSS THE COUNTRY CELEBRATED CAREERS IN ENERGY WEEK WITH ACTIVITIES SUCH AS STATE PROCLAMATIONS, OPEN HOUSES, TOURS, VIDEO CONTESTS, EVENTS ON MILITARY BASES, AND SOCIAL MEDIA. CEWD PROVIDED RESOURCES FOR MEMBERS TO USE, INCLUDING POSTERS AND BROCHURES, ALONG WITH SOCIAL MEDIA, AS WELL AS AN INTERACTIVE MAP ON THE CEWD SITE TO KEEP UP WITH ALL THE ACTIVITIES: HTTP://WWW.CEWD.ORG/STATE-CONSORTIA/.CEWD PROVIDED GUIDANCE ON HOW TO SPONSOR VIRTUAL CAREER AWARENESS EVENTS AND DEBUTED A NEW NATIONAL VIRTUAL CAREER EXPLORATION EVENT, ENERGYCAREERS 2020. MORE THAN 900 STUDENTS AND CAREER EXPLORERS PARTICIPATED IN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AND A JOB FAIR.THE ORGANIZATION DEVELOPED MORE THAN A DOZEN CAREER AWARENESS RESOURCES, INCLUDING VIDEOS AND PRINT PIECES, TO PROMOTE INDUSTRY CAREERS, MAKING THEM ALL AVAILABLE TO INDUSTRY COMPANIES FOR THEIR OWN USE.CEWD TOOK ITS MESSAGING TO VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING THE AMERICAN SCHOOL COUNSELORS ASSOCIATION AND SEVERAL VETERANS ORGANIZATIONS, TO PROVIDE EDUCATION ABOUT INDUSTRY EMPLOYMENT.STUDENTS AND JOBSEEKERS CAN ACCESS REAL-TIME JOB POSTINGS FROM CEWD MEMBERS ON THE GET INTO ENERGY JOBS SITE: GETINTOENERGY.JOBS. ALL JOBS FROM MEMBER COMPANIES ARE POSTED NIGHTLY AND CAN BE FILTERED BASED ON LOCATION, JOB TITLE, OR KEY WORDS. TROOPS TO ENERGY JOBS EXPANDED ITS REACH THROUGH ADDITIONAL ALLIANCES AND PARTNERSHIPS. MEMBER VALUE AND SUPPORT: CEWD ADDED TO ITS MEMBER RESOURCES, EXPANDING THE DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION TEMPLATE AND PREPARING GUIDANCE ON HOW TO RECRUIT FROM LOW INCOME COMMUNITIES. CEWD PROVIDED SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUAL MEMBER COMPANIES AS WELL AS EXISTING AND NEW STATE ENERGY WORKFORCE CONSORTIA. THESE CONSORTIA ARE THE BOOTS ON THE GROUND FOR IMPLEMENTING MANY OF THE BEST PRACTICES THAT ARE IMPROVING THE RETURN ON WORKFORCE EFFORTS. EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT: CEWD EDUCATION SOLUTIONS FOR SECONDARY AND POST-SECONDARY INSTITUTIONS HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED ACROSS THE COUNTRY IN 2020 INCLUDING THE GET INTO ENERGY TEST PREP, ENERGY INDUSTRY FUNDAMENTALS, ENERGY CAREER EDUCATION PATHWAYS AND FRAMEWORKS FOR THE 17TH ENERGY CAREER CLUSTERS AT THE STATE LEVEL. THE NATIONAL ENERGY EDUCATION NETWORK NOW INCLUDES MORE THAN 240 EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS REPRESENTING NEARLY 400 ENERGY PROGRAMS. THERE ARE NOW 82 ACTIVE ENERGY INDUSTRY FUNDAMENTALS (EIF) APPROVED COURSE PROVIDERS.
