BRAIN INJURY CONNECTIONS OF THE SHENANDOAH VALLEY, INC. PROVIDED CASE MANAGEMENT TO 124 UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES. CASE MANAGEMENT INCLUDES COORDINATING SERVICES, RESOURCES AND SUPPORTS FOR PERSONS WITH BRAIN INJURY SUCH AS FINANCIAL, EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION, HOUSING, ASSISTIVE DEVICES, AND INDEPENDENT LIVING. IN ADDITION, 25 INDIVIDUALS WERE PROVIDED WITH INFORMATION AND REFERRALS AND 43 WERE PROVIDED WITH CONSULTATION SERVICES. FURTHERMORE, BRAIN INJURY CONNECTIONS PROVIDED 31 SUPPORT GROUP OPPORTUNITIES FOR 309 CLIENTS AND CAREGIVERS THROUGHOUT THE SHENANDOAH VALLEY. 9 INDIVIDUALS ARE WORKING OR RETURNED TO WORK. 10 INDIVIDUALS ARE VOLUNTEERING IN THE COMMUNITY AND/OR ARE ENROLLED IN SCHOOL OR TRAINING. BRAIN INJURY CONNECTIONS PROVIDED BRAIN INJURY EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO THE COMMUNITY, INCLUDING 7 CRISIS INTERVENTION TRAININGS (CIT) FOR 152 FIRST RESPONDERS ACROSS OUR SERVICE AREA. COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS: WE COLLABORATED WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO SUPPORT CLIENTS IN LIVING SAFELY AND INDEPENDENTLY IN THEIR HOMES.THESE PARTNERSHIPS INCLUDE ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS VALLEY COMMUNITY SERVICES BOARD, VAIL, AND LOCAL MOBILE CLINICS. WE CONTINUE TO SEEK OUT AND STRENGTHEN LOCAL COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS WITH ORGANIZATIONS LIKE THE VALLEY MISSION AND NEW DIRECTIONS. MANY COMMUNITY BUSINESSES SUPPORTED OUR SPRING GALA, WHICH HELPED US TO TOP LAST YEAR'S AMOUNT. SEVERAL LOCAL BUSINESSES HAVE HOSTED FUNDRAISERS ON OUR BEHALF AND WE CONTINUED OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH AUGUSTA HEALTH, RESULTING IN A 10,000 GRANT. WE ARE BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, THE CITY OF HARRISONBURG, AND VALLEY HEALTH. WE CONTINUE TO CONNECT WITH FUNDING PARTNERS ACROSS OUR SERVICE AREAS, INCLUDING UNITED WAYS AND LOCAL COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONS. LASTLY, OUR CONNECTION TO JMU REMAINS STRONG AS WE CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN OUR AFLLIATE STATUS WITH THEM. ANNUAL CLIENT SURVEY RESULTS: IN JULY 2024, BICSCV COMPLETED OUR FISCAL YEAR 2024 CLIENT SURVEY AND THE RESULTS ARE AS FOLLOWS: -ON AVERAGE 85% OF CLIENTS HAVE STATED THAT THEY ARE SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY OF SERVICES FROM BICSV. -95% OF RESPONDENTS STATED THAT THE QUALITY OF LIFE HAS IMPROVED OR HELD SINCE WORKING WITH BICSV. -78% OF RESPONDENTS INDICATED THAT BICSV HAS MADE IT EASIER TO ACCESS INFORMATION, SERVICES AND RESOURCES. -84% OF RESPONDENTS REPLIED THAT THE SERVICES THEY RECEIVE HAS HELPED THEM FEEL MORE CONFIDENT IN MANAGING DAILY ACTIVITIES. -76% OF CLIENTS SURVEYED STATED THEIR CASE MANAGER UNDERSTANDS THEIR NEEDS. -76% OF SURVEY RESPONDENTS STATED BICSV HAS HELPED THEM TO BE MORE CONFIDENT IN HANDLING DAILY ACTIVITIES.
