The Advocacy and Mental Health Program reduces barriers to care for women experiencing poverty and intersecting traumas through one-on-one meetings, counseling, safety planning, support groups, resource navigation, financial aid and referrals in the same facility guests are meeting their immediate needs. This program not only offers crisis support to those living outside, it can keep people housed by helping them find the resources to regain independence. Low barrier resources available during the day are especially crucial as this is the time when people can put the pieces back together. This program functions as a conduit to available resources and helps our guests achieve self defined, long term goals.Geographies1740 NW Glisan St, Portland, OR 97209, USADatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedCommunity improvement,Economic development,Financial services,Mental and behavioral disorders,Health care access,Holistic medicine,Mental health care,Public health,Basic and emergency aid,Family services,Human services information,Human services management,Adult peer mentoring,Self-advocacy,Self-help groups,Shelter and residential care,Special population supportAge groups,Family relationships,Heterosexuals,Intersex people,LGBTQ people,Women and girls,Health,Social and economic status,Unemployed people,Veterans4.2K–
