The South Asian Bar Association of North America Foundation supports access to justice through grant making, educational programming, and collaborating with nonprofit organizations serving South Asian communities in North America. The Foundation advocates for its community members on issues related to domestic violence intervention; immigration rights; prevention of, and support for victims, of hate crimes, discrimination and racial profiling; and other community access to justice issues. In 2022, the Foundation partnered with the Pars Equality Center in Fremont, California, to help register new Afghan refugee arrivals for Temporary Protected Status (TPS). The Foundation held a fundraiser to collect relief funds and other resources for Pakistani families and children in the aftermath of severe and record-breaking flooding in Pakistan. The Foundation gave 7 grants to other 501(c)(3) organizations rangin from $250- $5,000.
