  • Landscapes of Exclusion Documentary

    Landscapes of Exclusion, a short documentary film based on the LALH book by William OBrien, was completed. Public presentations of the film with panel discussions were sponsored at Reynolda House Museum of Art (Winston-Salem, NC), National Building Museum (Washington, D.C), and the Atlanta History Center. The film was subsequently posted on the LALH website and YouTube channel.LALH released Bostons Franklin Park: Olmsted, Recreation, and the Modern City by Ethan Carr.LALH released Nature, Design, and Health: Explorations of a Landscape Architect by David Kamp.LALH sponsored a lecture by Carr and book signing at the Boston Public Library, November 8.

  • Educational Outreach and Grant Application

    EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH: Work was completed on VIEW 2023; the issue was mailed early 2024. The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, Chicago, IL, invited LALH was invited to apply for a $100,000 grant for the Olmsted Fund. (In May 2024, the grant was approved.)
