WE THE MEMBERS OF THE HAWTHORNE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT ARE DEDICATED TO COMMUNITY SERVICE. OUR MISSION AS VOLUNTEER MEMBERS OF THE EMERGENCY SERVICES IS TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING QUALITY AND EFFECTIVE EMERGENCY RESPONSE AS WELL AS TO FURNISH OUR CITIZENS WITH A FIRE PREVENTION AND AWARENESS EDUCATION THAT WILL ULTIMATELY MINIMIZE THE LOSS OF LIFE AND PROPERTY RESULTING FROM FIRES AND OTHER HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS. WE WILL TRAIN OUR MEMBERS TO PROVIDE THE BEST POSSIBLE SERVICE TO THE RESIDENTS IN AND AROUND THE BOROUGH OF HAWTHORNE.
