THE HOUSING AND INSURANCE "CY PRES" COURT SETTLEMENT FUNDS WERE USED TO DEVELOP WEBINARS, FACT SHEETS AND RESOURCES TO ASSIST LOW-INCOME, BIPOC AND OTHER UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON HOW HOMEOWNERSHIP AND SECURING INSURANCE CAN PROVIDE STABILITY FOR FAMILIES AND ANCHOR THEM IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, CAN BE A TOOL FOR WEALTH CREATION AND FOR BUILDING A LEGACY OF GENERATIONAL WEALTH. THE MATERIALS OUTLINED AND ADDRESSED THE NUMEROUS HURDLES FACED BY THESE COMMUNITIES, SUCH AS DIFFICULTIES IN PUTTING TOGETHER A SUFFICIENT DOWNPAYMENT, CRIPPLING LEVELS OF STUDENT LOAN DEBT, AND THE INABILITY TO ACCESS CREDIT.
