The Foundation provided the following program services: (1) Fought to improve the condition and welfare of American authors by providing them with educational resources on the business of writing through free seminars and panel discussions and information resources provided on its website; (2) engaged in advocacy efforts to support the publishing ecosystem and authors' rights; and (3) monitored legal and legislative matters regarding changes to copyright law that might have an effect on all authors and kept authors informed though its website, speaking engagements around the country and social media. It filed amicus briefs when pertinent copyright matters arose.
