THE SOCIETY SPONSORS AN ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM ON FEDERAL LABOR-MANAGEMENT AND EMPLOYEE RELATIONS, REGIONAL TRAINING ON LABOR RELATIONS, AND MONTHLY VIRTUAL SEMINARS ON FEDERAL SECTOR LABOR AND EMPLOYEE RELATIONS. THESE ACTIVITIES DIRECTLY RELATE TO THE SOCIETY'S TAX-EXEMPT PURPOSE AS AN ORGANIZATION CREATED FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES: TO ENHANCE THE STATURE OF THE FEDERAL LABOR-MANAGEMENT RELATIONS PROGRAM AND PROFESSIONALS WORKING WITHIN THE PROGRAM, TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR DISCUSSION OF ISSUES OF INTEREST TO LABOR-MANAGEMENT RELATIONS PROFESSIONALS, AND TO INCREASE UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROGRAM AMONG ALL AFFECTED PERSONS.
