Armed Forces Clubhouse Programs
The achievement for the exempt purpose of operating a Club house to serve as a medium for friendship and comradery among retiree members of the Armed Forces; without regard to national origin, creed, race, or color was accomplished through the donation of time, service, or monetary contributions. The organization continued to make repairs to the facility, internally and externally. It honored its members during Birthday celebrations. The MRC planned programs to honor deceased members, attend funerals at their respected churches, participated in celebration, displayed their pictures outside of the building and hung a tribute scroll of deceased members on its Wall of Fame. The Club hosted its second annual Fundraising Gala on April 15, 2024. Col Henry R Barnes III, Director of Logistic Fort Lee Va., was keynote speaker. Civic and humanitarian achievements were through donation of equipment, time and the use of its facilities to other nonprofit organizations, such as the Disabled American Veterans, to hold its monthly meetings. One of the heavily attended programs is a session on Veterans claim filing which are written and submitted through their organization. The achievements for the exempt purpose to promote the membership; welfare and prosperity for civic and patriotic purposes were conducted the organization Civic Action Programs. Such events include a major donation of school supplies to students attending Obama Elementary School In Richmond Va. Our adopted a school Program.Supplies were purchased, packaged and delivered to school Officials To be used at their discretions. Thanksgiving dinners and monetary donation were given to disadvantaged families.
