Beyond the Conviction (BTC)

Programs
Program 1 [2020]
Despite the COVID outbreak, BTC not only kept a zero eviction rate, we increased our property acquisition by 40%, acquiring six (6) property donations from the REO Match Donation program via Wells Fargo. Additionally, during the down trod of COVID, where low traffic numbers were present, BTC expanded its two (2) profit entities that support the organization's mission. The organization launched its Designated Workforce Solutions, a for-profit staffing agency, that specializes in providing job placement and talent acquisitions. The second for-profit entity, Workforce Preparatory Technical Center, is an educational based pre-apprenticeship, specializing in property maintenance of residential and commercial assets.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$551.5KHousing and Job Placement Services
Housing services: Increase in housing demands has caused a direct focus to increase single family & multi-unit acquisitions to meet the ongoing demand. Services were expanded into home location services to assist citizens with criminal, evictions, and employment challenges to enhance the housing service sector of the organization. Transportation services: Vehicle acquisitions decreased from prior years due to the closing of the Auto Donation Center and the inability to obtain another discount car vendor has yet to surface. Prior to 2022, budget friendly auto pricing allowed the organization to continue helping families meet the need to acquire cost friendly, safe and dependable transportation. Job placement assistance and community services: Increased due to the lack of in-demand skills and transportation of job seekers. Community service sector has increased by 12% due to city judicial mandates that continue to give rulings to community service hours rather than incarceration.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$311.2K
