65 AmeriCorps members completed over 100,000 hours of collective service to the central and south Georgia regions. They served as community health workers in federally qualified health centers, hospitals, and the North Central Health Department. Our Cure Violence team called Project Hero, used a public health approach to addressing gun violence. Through the use of credible messengers, the team of violence interrupters and outreach workers reduced the incidence of gun homince by 33% over the previous year.
