Program 1 [2020]
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and precautions, we were not able to run the 2020 Farmers Market under normal conditions. While we did continue to provide fruits vegetables and other essential foods, we were unable to invite artisans, musicians or run specific programs that we have offered in the past. While we did incur extraordinary expenses beyond previous market years due to COVID-19 (sanitizer, masks, signage), the overall market expenses were significantly down versus previous years. We were able to offer a food box program for individuals that had a higher level of need for subsidization for their daily food needs. This program was funded, food was provided form our vendors and volunteers boxed up the touch free food.Additionally, we were able to begin to offer out our market space for events that drove a new income stream we previously did not have.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided––Market Support for Local Artisans
Market Musicians-We approached 2021 like 2020, where there may be restrictions and hesitation in the market due to COVID-19. By the start of the market season, most outdoor restrictions had lifted. We opted not to pursue full programming in the market, but did add back the musicians, food trucks and began to bring back various artisans that we had prior to the 2020 market season.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$25.4K
