Support for Minority-Owned Businesses
We have served over 30 businesses in FY 2022. These businesses have received technical assistance on worker ownership development, education through consultations, webinars, case studies, and C2BE collateral. Over 60 percent are minority-owned (women, BIPOC-owned, LGTQ-IA.)Achieved the First c2be scaling opportunity of succession planning and transitioning traditional businesses to worker owned enterprise by helping business owners sell the business to its employees.I have included businesses (This includes the LEAP partnership). Also, this number contains companies we served through any of our three conversion stages. Lastly, out of the 91 businesses served, 57 or 63% are minority or SEDI-owned businesses. Signed first contract with quasi-governmental agency (Lansing Economic Area Partnership); and, first contract sourced from federal funds (ARPA; we received contract; LEAP received direct funds).Awarded Equal Justice Alliance of Michigan Membership (which brings fellows to the C2BE tyo assist with external organizing goals ; and unrestricted $$ resources; .)
