Youth Organizing Collective is an organizing home for Black and Brown youth in DC. Members work collectively to deepen their political analysis and develop organizing and storytelling skills to affect change in their communities. They build deep relationships with their peers and adult allies to ensure that DC is responsive to the needs of young people. Members apply their learning by leading citywide campaigns that implement solutions to the issues that impact their lives. Members are currently working to ensure that young people feel safe in their schools and communities. This program is ongoing year-round and meets twice weekly. Youth can participate over multiple years and must meet our membership criteria. Members are paid for their leadership in this program.
