Scholarship Program for Arts Access
We have been giving scholarships for our summer camps since we began offering summer camp classes in 2016. Providing equitable access to the arts is the driving force behind our scholarship program. Since moving into our own studio in 2018, we have been able to expand our scholarship program and class offerings, which has been an exciting stage in our development. Last summer, we saw more students in our studio than ever before and almost all of them were able to attend because of our scholarship program. One thing we also discovered last year was that there are many adults who are eager to develop a new creative skill, or build upon a favorite creative pastime that they haven't had the time or place to explore or develop. Last fall, we began offering film photography and sewing for adults (as well as for children) and have found that even offering classes at-cost can be a barrier to participating. As we move into our busy season in 2024, we are broadening our scholarship program to include financial assistance for adults and for all are classes and workshops. We want to continue to find ways to increase access and eliminate barriers to high-quality arts programming.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2023 – Dec 31, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$103.7KScholarship Expansion Program
